FAQs
My pet ingested more than the recommended amount of Fruitables supplements or treats, what should I do?
Anytime a pet ingests more than the recommended amount, we strongly encourage you to contact your veterinarian so they can determine what next steps should be taken for your pet. Veterinary professionals are best positioned to evaluate the situation and any potential impact overconsumption can have on your individual pet’s health.
Can Fruitables products be given to animals not listed on the label?
All Fruitables treats and supplements were specifically formulated for the species listed on the packaging and should not be used with any other species. Your veterinarian should be able to help you find appropriate products for your species of pet.
My pet has been diagnosed with an illness/disease; can I still give them Fruitables?
The health and safety of the animals we serve is our top priority. To ensure that our products are safe and fit within the parameters of your pet’s diet, it is best to consult your veterinarian. They have a better understanding of your pet’s health needs and can determine if Fruitables fits within the diet alongside their disease/illness.
Can the Fruitables canned supplements be stored in the fridge after they have been opened? If so, how long are they good for?
Once our Fruitables canned supplements have been opened, they should be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days. The product can remain in the original container but should have something covering the opening to reduce exposure to air. You can also move the contents to an airtight container. Refrigeration does not prolong the shelf-life, and the product needs to be used before its best by date. *Our canned supplements refer to Fruitables Switch Food Transition Supplement, Fruitables Digestive Supplement, Fruitables Weight Loss Supplement, and Fruitables Digestive Supplement*
Can the Fruitables canned supplements be frozen once they have been opened?
Fruitables canned supplements can be frozen once opened to maintain freshness. The product should be removed from the original container, placed in an airtight container, and used within 3 months of placing in the freezer. Freezing the product does not prolong shelf-life, and the product needs to be used before its best by date. *Our canned supplements refer to Fruitables Switch Food Transition Supplement, Fruitables Digestive Supplement, Fruitables Weight Loss Supplement, and Fruitables Digestive Supplement*
How long can I provide Fruitables canned supplements to my dog or cat?
Whether you are using our Fruitables Pumpkin Digestive Supplement to support your pet’s digestive health, or Fruitables Weight Loss Supplement to help your furry family members lose a few extra pounds, it is always important to speak to your veterinarian before adding any supplement into your pet’s diet. Your veterinarian has a more intimate knowledge of your little one’s needs and will best be able to guide on length of use for our food toppers.
