How to Use Fruitables Spreads

What makes Spreads such a desirable new addition to our line-up? More than anything, it’s their versatility. Our spreads can be frozen for a longer-lasting lick mat, baked into bite-sized snackaroos or even help medicine masquerade as a delicious surprise.

• Frozen Treats: during the dog days of summer, nothing satisfies like a frozen treat. Dog treats are no exception! Refresh your pup by freezing any flavor of Fruitables Spreads into your favorite shape or popsicle mold.
• Lick Mats: when paired with a lick mat, Fruitables Spreads can also help reorient your dog’s response to terrifying stimuli. Thunder, postal workers and the vacuum cleaner suddenly don’t seem so scary with something simultaneously delicious to lick on. In a similar fashion, you can use spreads with a toy or lick mat to keep your furry plus-one busy, calm and collected at social outings.
• Homemade Dog Treats: use Spreads as a base to your favorite dog treat recipes! Spreads can be baked into amazing cookies for dogs! See below for baking instructions.

Baking Instructions:

Fruitables Spreads can also be baked into a cookie-like treat!

Cookie Size                Minutes

1 teaspoon                  6 - 7

1 tablespoon               7 - 9

2 tablespoons             9 - 11

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (conventional oven)
2. Choose cookie size according to dog’s body weight and spoon portions of Spreads about 1 inch apart onto baking sheet
3. Bake the appropriate number of minutes for desired cookie size or until the top of the cookie looks dry and the bottom of the cookie is solid and browned. Ovens vary and baking time may need to be adjusted. For more even baking, rotate pan halfway through baking time.
4. After baking, cool cookies 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cool completely. Larger cookies can be broken into smaller pieces for smaller dogs.

Tip: Fruitables Spreads can also be used in place of nut butters for homemade dog treats and other dog-friendly recipes.
